About Multiple Myeloma
Multiple myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells, a type of white blood cell found in the bone marrow. These cancerous plasma cells accumulate in the bone marrow, where they can interfere with the production of normal blood cells and lead to various health problems.

Types & Variants
Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance (MGUS)

Smoldering Multiple Myeloma (SMM)
An early, asymptomatic form of myeloma that has a higher risk of progressing to active myeloma than MGUS. It is defined by higher levels of M protein or plasma cells in the bone marrow.
Solitary Plasmacytoma
A single tumor of abnormal plasma cells, usually in a bone. It can be a precursor to developing multiple myeloma throughout the body.
